Hospital Administration
The Administrator's responsibilities include financial and human
resource planning, controlling the purchase and distribution
of supplies, building and equipment maintenance, managing
investments in infrastructure, personnel management, disposal of
hospital waste, evaluating competition, organising support services
such as laundry, catering etc.
Job Market:
The Hospital Administrator can seek employment
in major and minor hospitals, nursing homes and other health care
organisations.
Training Courses:
Courses are open to graduates in any discipline
(in some cases only medical/nursing graduates are eligible).
Duration of courses vary from one to three years. Both part time
and full time courses are available. In addition to course work,
candidates are required to undertake a project in a specific area
of health management and undego a period of internship in a
hospital organisation.
